We’re honoured to announce ten of our employees working across housing, civic and precinct projects have been selected to participate in this year’s 500 Women in Property program.
The 500 Women in Property program is an initiative by the Property Council of Australia to help promote female talent and empower women to advance in the workforce.
With more than 3,600 women having participated since its launch in 2016, the highly successful program involves a personal commitment from sponsors (women and men) to identify and champion women in their organisation or network who would benefit from exposure and professional development opportunities.
We met with some of our team to understand why they applied for the program, and what they’re most looking forward to.
Commercial Manager Laura Murphy said;
I couldn’t pass up getting involved in the 500 Women in Property program as it is a unique opportunity to make new connections, hear differing perspectives and deepen my understanding of the sector.
When asked what she hopes to get out of the program, Assistant Project Manager Emilia Firus said;
My goal for this program is to gain a fresh perspective on how to be intentional about my career growth, through listening to the stories and experiences of women in leadership.
Senior Development Manager Keri Mihalco explains how her experience with Property Council Australia (PCA) has helped her at different stages in her career;
PCA runs great professional development programs. As a younger professional I got so much out of their mentoring program. Now as a people leader, the 500 Women in Property program provides me with the opportunity to grow my leadership talent.
When asked what she’s most looking forward to, Development Manager Maria Krelle said;
I’m looking forward to being able to bring a lot of the positive development from this program experience into my day-to-day approach to work at Development Victoria.
Congratulations to all the participants and their sponsors for 2024!
