More families are now calling Wollert home, with the completion of a new residential community at Aurora in Melbourne’s north.
Built by two of Victoria’s leading residential builders, SOHO Living and Metricon, the 89 new townhouses incorporate a range of sustainability features – including recycled water, LED lighting and passive solar design – achieving a minimum 6-star energy rating to help residents save on energy bills.
As Melbourne's northern suburbs continue to grow, we're proud to continue to deliver quality housing exactly where it is needed.

All the homes are well located within walking distance of the Aurora Northern Town Centre, local schools, open space and public transport, giving residents convenient access to everyday essentials.
Habitas also includes nine social homes managed by VincentCare Community Housing, providing much-needed housing for Victorian families as part of the Victorian Government’s landmark $5.3 billion Big Housing Build, administered by Homes Victoria.
Dr Jennifer Fitzgerald AM, Group CEO of St Vincent de Paul Victoria and VincentCare Community Housing, said the handover of the nine social homes had been profoundly meaningful for the families involved.
“It was a joy handing over the keys to the forever homes for these nine families, many of whom are single parent families with young children who have been waiting on the priority list for social housing,” she said.
Thanks to our partnership with Homes Victoria, these families now have stability and the security of knowing they have a safe place to call home. These homes will allow these parents and their children to not just survive, but to thrive.

Development Victoria has invested approximately $22 million in Aurora Habitas, generating more than 300 jobs over the life of the project.
Aurora Habitas forms part of the broader Aurora development delivered by Development Victoria, which has supported the delivery of approximately 2,000 homes to Epping and Wollert since 2005.
“We’re pleased to see Aurora continue to cater to our growing community, complemented by essential infrastructure such as roads, footpaths and parks, helping more Victorians enjoy where they live,” Nemesia said.
