The Victorian Government is revitalising the Geelong CBD with the GPAC redevelopment moving to the next stage.

Four shortlisted companies have been invited to submit a tender for the project, with the contract expected to be awarded in August 2017.

ADCO Constructions, Built PTY Limited, Cockram Construction Limited and Kane Constructions Pty Ltd have been shortlisted for the project.

The shortlist was drawn from a strong field with 11 expression of interest submissions received.

The $38.5 million investment by the Victorian Government will transform Ryrie Street and build a major cultural centre for Geelong’s CBD.

The redevelopment will include better access to the Arts Centre and Playhouse Theatre studios, while building more rehearsal areas and spaces for the community to use.

The improvements will make Geelong even more attractive to new business, investors, tourists and residents.

Construction will start in the third quarter of 2017.
