Development Victoria Chief Executive Angela Skandarajah has advised the Chair of the Board and Government that she will not seek to extend her contract when it ends later this year.
Angela has led Development Victoria over a five-year period of significant growth, change and industry challenges.
Megan Haas, Chair of the Development Victoria Board, recognised Angela’s strong impact - in particular, as a champion of inclusion and diversity and building culture where everyone’s voice is valued.
“On behalf of the Board, I’d like to recognise and thank Angela for her passion, dedication and support,” said Ms Haas.
“She has truly brought the organisation’s purpose to life and has been instrumental in building a supportive, inclusive and high performing culture through her leadership.”
As the Victorian Government’s major projects and property delivery agency established in 2017, Development Victoria’s achievements under Angela’s leadership have been significant – transforming iconic places such as Melbourne Arts Precinct, Melbourne Park and Docklands, as well as increasing the supply of diverse and affordable housing across the state.
Development Victoria is also helping to bring the vision of Victoria 2026 Commonwealth Games to life as the delivery agency for major sporting infrastructure and athletes’ villages across four regional locations.
A search for a new Chief Executive for Development Victoria has begun and Angela will remain in the role until a new appointment has been made, to enable a smooth transition.
