Construction is ramping up at the Lendlease Ancora and Regatta sites at Collins Wharf in Victoria Harbour, with more than 1,100 homes underway, as well as the new build-to-rent tower at 899 Collins Street.

The 499-unit build-to-rent development in Collins Street spans 24 levels and is due to be completed in 2026.

Lendlease’s next development, Aluna at 989 Collins Street and its new 797 apartment build-to-rent tower at Melbourne Quarter, will bring the total number of new homes in delivery by Lendlease in Docklands to approximately 2,300.

In addition to the new residential buildings, Lendlease is also delivering two new open space areas.

These include Bourke Dock – a waterfront public park at the end of Bourke Street in the Victoria Harbour precinct that will feature over 1,500sqm of open space – and Collins Wharf Park that will feature a large central lawn, terraced timber seating, and native plantings.

As the master developer for Docklands, Development Victoria oversees and administers development agreements to support new development opportunities, including residential development to create more housing for Victorians in this fast-growing precinct.

As one of the largest urban renewal projects under construction in Australia Melbourne’s Docklands is a long-term project.

Matching the size of the Melbourne CBD, the precinct is home to more than 17,000 residents and 73,000 workers and attracts millions of visitors annually.
