Delivery of the Armstrong Creek Sports Centre is another step closer, with three contractors shortlisted as the result of a recent Expression of Interest process.

There was a very strong response from the market, with bidders excited to deliver the new sports centre which will include four indoor multi-sport courts, a civic plaza, and on-site carparking.

The shortlisted bidders include ADCO Constructions, Fairbrother, and Kane Constructions, who have all been invited to participate in our Request for Proposal process which commences in late October 2024.

The successful bidder is expected to be appointed by early 2025, and construction of the new sports centre is expected to commence mid-2025.

Group Head Civic Infrastructure, Hannah Clement said that this is an exciting milestone for the project, and demonstrates the enthusiasm from the market to deliver new sporting infrastructure across regional Victoria.

We have seen a high volume of strong responses to the Expression of Interest process for Armstrong Creek, and we look forward to seeing the proposals from our shortlisted bidders ahead of construction commencing next year.

Armstrong Creek is one of the 16 sporting infrastructure projects which are being built or upgraded across the state as part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program, with five projects across the Geelong and Surf Coast region as part of the program.

Suppliers who are interested in providing goods or services for this project, should register their details on the ICN Gateway Page.
