The final piece of Melbourne Quarter is complete, with the West Tower adding new open space, business opportunities and hundreds of homes in central Melbourne.
Executive General Manager Precincts, Niall Cunningham, said the completion of the 45-storey West Tower at 648 Flinders Street marks another major milestone in the transformation of Docklands into a vibrant commercial and lifestyle precinct.

Delivered in partnership with Lendlease and Daiwa House, West Tower offers 797 studio, one, two and three-bedroom build-to-rent apartments alongside new retail, hospitality and commercial offerings.
Lendlease’s Executive Director Development, Adam Williams, said the completion of West Tower is a significant milestone, adding a welcome new supply of homes to Melbourne and meeting continued demand for well-located housing close to public transport, jobs and education.
It also marks the completion of Melbourne Quarter, a vibrant precinct more than a decade in the making that has already brought together more than 1,800 residents, 12,000 office workers, new retailers and open green spaces in the heart of Melbourne opposite Southern Cross Station.

More than 50 per cent of the Melbourne Quarter precinct is dedicated to public open space, including the elevated Sky Park and Ti-Tree Park, creating new places for office workers, residents and visitors to connect, recharge and enjoy the city.
Located opposite Southern Cross Station and within the free tram zone, Melbourne Quarter provides businesses and workers with direct access to transport, talent and amenity, supporting productivity and growth in a thriving CBD-edge precinct.
