Development Victoria is committed to improving mental health awareness and support for employees with the aim of growing a more inclusive and engaged working environment.

This commitment has been recognised by Mental Health First Aid Australia with a Gold Skilled Workplace accreditation. 

This accreditation celebrates organisations across Australia who not only invest in developing mental health first aid skills in their people, but also show a strong commitment to embedding the program into their organisation’s culture.

“Our people are undoubtedly our biggest asset. Since we started working from home in March this year, we’ve introduced several initiatives to support our people through the challenges of COVID-19,” said Angela Skandarajah, Chief Executive Officer of Development Victoria.
These initiatives include the introduction of a Mental Health and Wellbeing plan, self-care and mental health webinars for all employees, mental health literacy training for leaders, a dedicated ‘Wellbeing Working Group’ to increase workplace inclusion and support physical and mental health and over 20 accredited mental health first aiders across our organisation.
