The Marvel Stadium precinct will soon be home to two new residential towers at 685 La Trobe Street.
Developed by HOME, and led by architectural firm Cox Architecture, the two residential towers with a combined podium will be known as HOME Docklands.
Constructed by Hacer Group, HOME Docklands will house 676 Build-To-Rent apartments.
Residents will be able to access protected landscaped areas, indoor movie viewing areas, a pilates studio, a world class gym with wellness spaces and a 25-metre indoor swimming pool, and a high-tech working hub featuring lighting speed wifi.
Another exciting element is the retail mix including anchor tenant, Moon Dog Brewery, which will activate the concourse between Marvel Stadium and HOME Docklands.
Moon Dog Brewery plans to offer a pub and restaurant will give patrons new opportunities for pre and post event activity right near the concourse.
Development Victoria Senior Director Precincts Anna Hakman said HOME Docklands will deliver more housing opportunities to meet growing demand where people can live close to transport, jobs, schools and services.
This new development will support the Victorian Government’s Housing Statement, increasing Victoria’s housing supply and delivering affordable and diverse housing in metropolitan Melbourne.
HOME Docklands is the third development specifically designed for the rental market, with HOME Southbank and HOME Richmond now fully HOME operational, vibrant communities.
“HOME now proudly accommodates over 1,200 residents and a thriving community across its portfolio,” said Christian Grahame, Head of HOME.
As part of the Development Agreement with HOME, Development Victoria has a responsibility to facilitate and encourage the development of the Docklands area.
HOME Docklands is on track for first occupancy in September 2024.
