Development Victoria is progressing with plans to transform the old water tank site in Ivanhoe into a thriving residential community with hundreds of new homes.
Acting Group Head Housing, Nemesia Kennett, expressed her excitement at reaching two major project milestones that will allow the delivery of approximately 275 much needed homes and more green space to the area.
We've recently completed the safe demolition of the decommissioned water tank, with outstanding work by Victorian-based contractor Delta Group.

"The Development Plan approval also marks an essential step toward our goal of offering diverse housing options, including 10% affordable housing, conveniently located near transport, jobs, and essential services."
The project will also feature a new 2,000-square-meter park, designed to provide a range of community spaces and play areas for everyone to enjoy.
Development Victoria is currently overseeing a Request for Proposal process to secure a development partner for the residential project, with construction set to begin once the necessary planning approvals are obtained.
Development Victoria is working with Banyule City Council to develop the new larger local park, informed by feedback from the local community.
