The late John Weston had a fantastic career, giving more than 50 years of his life to serving the Victorian public and earning a reputation for professionalism, integrity and achievement across government and the construction industry. Having worked as a Project Director on many major public projects such as the State Library refurbishment, the Melbourne Museum, the Melbourne Exhibition Centre, the National Gallery of Victoria, the Melbourne Recital Centre/MTC Theatre and the Melbourne Park redevelopment, John Weston has left an important legacy.

Development Victoria is proud to honour John through our annual award named after him. This peer nominated award encourages recognition of our values of collaboration, innovation and delivery, and celebrates outstanding contributions to our unique and fulfilling culture.

This year’s winner is Development Director, Imogen Lewis.

During another tough year, with extended lockdowns and work from home restrictions, Imogen has been a supportive and inspiring leader. She has used her extensive knowledge and experience to ensure the delivery of positive outcomes on a challenging and demanding project.

Imogen was nominated by her colleagues in recognition of her embodiment of our values, her contribution to the organisation’s culture and her unwavering support and guidance to her team.
