The search is underway for Head Contractors to lead the major redevelopments at the Bendigo Showgrounds and Bendigo Stadium. Designs for the Bendigo Showgrounds and Bendigo Stadium are progressing, and Expressions of Interest (EOI) have opened for a Head Contractor to bring the designs to life.

Hannah Clement, Group Head Civic Infrastructure at Development Victoria said, "The EOI marks an exciting step in delivering the upgrades for these premier facilities in the Bendigo region."

The upgrades will ensure these venues can continue hosting events for generations to come and we are excited to begin to engage with industry.

A key focus of the tender process is a demonstrated commitment to using local talent, businesses, suppliers, and materials, creating employment and economic development opportunities across the Bendigo region.

Bendigo Stadium is set for a major transformation, with a new two-court annex, upgrades to the existing courts 9 and 10, utility works including a solar installation, new lighting to the outdoor netball courts, and improvements to accessibility and carparking, ensuring the Stadium remains Bendigo’s premier indoor sports and local competition venue.

The Sky Lounge inside Bendigo Stadium will also receive some minor upgrades, making it an even better venue to host events and functions.

Visitors to the Bendigo Showgrounds will enjoy a new multipurpose pavilion, along with a redeveloped arena and upgrades to entrances and fencing, enhancing the showgrounds' reputation as a prime venue for community, cultural, and agricultural events.
