A new community park is now open at Riverwalk Estate in Werribee for families and children to enjoy.

The Tulsi Avenue Park is located in the southern part of the Estate, across the road from Riverwalk Primary School which opened in 2020.

The park has been delivered by Development Victoria, designed by Melbourne firm Outlines Landscape Architects and constructed by Victorian-based contractor Excell Gray Bruni.

Just over one hectare in size, the park will become a major drawcard for families across the community, providing a diverse play environment for local children of all ages.

The park features a picnic shelter, BBQ, playground equipment, a dedicated nature-play area and several recreation spaces - including a basketball half-court.

It is the third park opened within the highly sought-after estate and now joins completed parks in Village Park, located in the heart of the Estate, and Liberator Park in the northern area.

Development Victoria has now created approximately 40 per cent of the planned 29 hectares of open space at Riverwalk.

Development Victoria’s Group Head - Housing Penny Forrest said with more families calling Riverwalk home, the Tulsi Avenue Park adds to the abundance of open space already created and planned for development inside the Estate.

“Werribee is a growing community. The Tulsi Avenue Park will become a great meeting place, family-friendly recreation hub for the community to enjoy for years to come," Ms Forrest said.

We look forward to seeing the community enjoying everything this park has to offer, including a range of outdoor activities.

In addition to Tulsi Avenue Park, new traffic lights are now operational at the intersection of Princes Highway and Farm Road, allowing for the safer flow of local traffic and pedestrian movement in and out of the Estate. Residents are also enjoying an improved, safer road surface following an upgrade to a section of Farm Road.

Riverwalk is being delivered through a partnership between Melbourne Water and Development Victoria.

When complete, Riverwalk will feature approximately 2,600 homes, two schools, a Town Centre, 20 hectares of open space and three signalised intersections to improve local traffic flows.
