Development Victoria staff shovel soil

This month, Development Victoria was excited to join Mirvac in celebrating the start of construction of the highly anticipated residential tower, Trielle, in the Docklands’ Yarra’s Edge precinct.

The 45-level Trielle tower will be the tallest building at Yarra’s Edge and will include approximately 191 all-electric homes with a mix of apartments, dual-level townhouses, sub penthouses and penthouses.

We have been working with developers and stakeholders to deliver a liveable and thriving community in Docklands since the late 1990s. We congratulate Mirvac for their long-standing support of Docklands and this is another great milestone for Yarra’s Edge.

Development Victoria

As a part of the development, Mirvac is refurbishing a 130-metre stretch of the waterfront public promenade that is located directly in front of the site which will feature a widened pathway, an upgraded sealed pavement, and a landscaped plaza with seating and urban art for the local community to enjoy.

Yarra’s Edge is a 14.5-hectare inner-city waterfront community located on the north-facing bank of the Yarra River that has been developed by Mirvac for more than 20 years.

Designed around wellbeing, Yarra’s Edge already features extensive parkland, state-of-the-art health and fitness facilities at Wharf Club and a marina.

“Docklands has delivered significant housing for Victorians, with more than 10,000 apartments delivered or under construction, supporting the Victorian Government’s Housing Statement to increase Victoria’s housing supply,” Niall said.

As one of the largest urban renewal projects in Australia, upon completion Docklands is expected to be home to around 25,000 residents and between 80,000 to 100,000 workers.

Development Victoria is responsible for developing Docklands, promoting and encouraging private sector involvement, overseeing and coordinating development, implementing strategies and development plans, coordinating infrastructure and encouraging people to live and work in the area.
