Wodonga residential development gets green light23 Oct 2017
The next stage of regional Australia’s largest urban renewal project, ‘Station 73’ at Junction Place in Wodonga, has been given the go-ahead by the City of Wodonga Council.
The development will inject $200 million into the region over the next 15 years and creating hundreds of jobs in construction and retail.
The ‘Station 73’ development includes 86 apartments, an entertainment precinct, retail spaces, hotel, public open spaces, offices and a European market hall, which will be delivered by Wodonga-based developer Central Place.
The precinct will help cater for the predicted 40 per cent growth in Wodonga’s population and continue to transform the historic railway precinct into a thriving area to live and work.

The Junction Place project has already won a range of industry awards including the prestigious Judge’s Award – Regional Victoria from the Urban Development Institute of Australia in 2016. Construction of the new apartments will commence sometime in 2018.
The remaining stages within ‘Station 73’ are still in the design phase, with further announcements expected in the coming months.
