Tanderrum Bridge at Melbourne Park has added to it its list of accolades with the 2017 Premier’s Design Award for Architectural Design. The bridge traverses Batman Avenue and links Birrarung Marr with Melbourne Park.

The bridge is part of the $338 million stage two redevelopment of Melbourne Park. It has cut down on pedestrian travel times between Flinders Street Station and Birrarung Marr to under ten minutes.

As a purpose-built structure, the bridge allows great access for visitors to the Australian Open and Melbourne and Olympic Parks throughout the year.

The bridge has also become a destination and sculptural component within the landscape of the area. A big congratulations to the Melbourne Park Redevelopment as well as John Wardle Architects and NADAAA Architecture on another great achievement.
