Bendigo show

The Bendigo Showgrounds once again came alive this weekend as the much-loved Bendigo Agricultural Show returned on 24 and 25 October 2025, proving that even with construction underway, the show goes on!

For more than 165 years, the Bendigo Agricultural Show has been a highlight on the local calendar as a celebration of community spirit, regional pride, and the best of country life. From prize-winning livestock and vibrant produce displays to thrilling rides, local food stalls and live entertainment, this year’s show promised something for everyone.

The Bendigo Agricultural Show Society, founded in 1859, has been at the heart of this event for generations, and this year’s show marks an exciting new chapter as the Showgrounds redevelopment continues to take shape.

The upgrades, being delivered by Development Victoria in partnership with Sport and Recreation Victoria’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program, include a new multipurpose pavilion, upgrades to the grass arena and lighting, and improved entrances and fencing.

While some areas of the Showgrounds are under construction, event organisers have worked closely with the Head Contractor to ensure the show can continue safely and with minimal disruption.

As the rides spin, the livestock parade, and families gather once more, this year’s event perfectly captures what makes Bendigo special, a community that keeps moving forward, while staying true to its roots.

This project is being delivered by Development Victoria in partnership with Sport and Recreation Victoria, and have involved close collaboration with the Bendigo Agricultural Show Society and the City of Greater Bendigo. This will ensure the Bendigo Showgrounds upgrades cater to the local community and deliver positive outcomes for the region.
