UDIA national award
Development Victoria’s leadership in diversity and inclusion has been proudly recognised
in both the UDIA Victoria and National Awards for Excellence 2020.

The UDIA Leaders in Diversity Award seeks to acknowledge, encourage and most importantly,
promote diversity in the development and property industry.

‘We are thrilled to accept this award, and recognise the significance of this in a year where a
range of social issues and injustices, including race, gender, and sexual harassment have been
amplified,’ said Caroline Monzon, Executive Director of People and Culture.

At Development Victoria, people are at the core of what we do, and diversity is key to achieving
our goals.

‘As an organisation, I’m proud of the significant inroads we’ve made to build an inclusive and
diverse culture; from our gender balanced workforce and Board, training programs, Traditional
Owner engagement and our commitment to equality in remuneration and recruitment.’ said
Angela Skandarajah, CEO Development Victoria.

The culture at Development Victoria is built on diversity, honesty and accountability. Collaboration, innovation and delivery are the core values that underpin our work and in striving for excellence, employees are encouraged to prioritise their continued development in line with these values.

‘This award serves as encouragement and inspiration on an ongoing journey that is really about improving our way of being,’ said Caroline.

‘Our commitment to our people, our partners and our industry is to continue to strive for excellence and improvement.’

Congratulations also go to our Kew Residential Services project, and development partner Walker Corporation, on the Kew Cottages redevelopment being shortlisted for the Urban Renewal award category.
