Update on Junction Place

Development Victoria is continuing to engage with the City of Wodonga and the Wodonga community on next steps for Junction Place – ensuring a great outcome for the Wodonga community.

As part of our work in partnership with the City of Wodonga and local community, Development Victoria is continuing to meet with council and others on the next steps on the future of the project. 

Recent meetings with representatives from the community and stakeholders have been positive and provided a deeper understanding of the community’s aspirations for the site. A Community Reference Group has been established as part of this process.

The 2012 Framework Plan and 2016 Master Plan – endorsed by the community – will be the basis for moving the project forward with potential developers. These discussions will include a cinema.

Junction Place is Australia’s largest regional urban renewal initiative that aims to transform central Wodonga into a vibrant entertainment and community precinct.

The project will create more than 1000 local jobs and boost economic growth in the northern Victorian city.
