The final residents have moved into their new homes in the first stage of Development Victoria’s residential development in Officer, where 92 homes have reached completion.

Acting Group Head Housing, Nemesia Kennett, said it was a great achievement to see all residents from Stage 1 in their new homes.

We’re making significant progress at our Olio development in Officer and we’re excited to see this community grow.

More than 200 homes will be delivered by Sienna Homes in Officer across Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the ‘Olio’ development, with a further 245 homes and 2 super lots planned for Stages 3-6, subject to planning approvals.

Development Victoria has partnered with Homes Victoria to deliver 9 social homes in Stage 1, managed through CentreCare Housing Service, and 13 homes in Stage 2, to be managed by Aboriginal Housing Victoria.

Olio Officer offers a range of sustainability inclusions, meaning the homes will require less energy to heat and cool, reducing residents’ carbon footprints and energy bills.

Development Victoria is also delivering new roads, new parks, and green open spaces across the development, including Olio Park which opened in late 2023.

Construction is expected to commence on Stage 2 in the second half of 2025.
