On Sunday 1 February, Development Victoria marched alongside the Victorian Public Service (VPS) LGBTIQA+ Pride Network at the 2026 Midsumma Pride March.

Led by the organisation’s Pride Working Group, the team celebrated LGBTQIA+ team and allies, marching with an estimated 13,000+ participants along Fitzroy Street in St Kilda.

It meant so much to be able to bring along my family, as a rainbow family, to march with my colleagues and know that we’re not just included, but celebrated

Said Quynh Nguyen, Senior Advisor, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement.

The Pride Working Group is one of six Development Victoria Working Groups alongside First Peoples Partnership, Gender Equity, Cultural Diversity, Universal Design and Belong.

Over 25% of our workforce volunteer to be involved in these Diversity and Inclusion Working Groups informing our initiatives and strategies to create a safe and supportive workplace.

“Having the chance to participate in the 2026 Midsumma Pride March as part of the Development Victoria team has me feeling very grateful and proud to work for such an inclusive organisation” said Jake Churches, Assistant Development Manager at Development Victoria.

This was Development Victoria’s third year participating in the March, and the Pride Working Group will continue to promote events such as Pride Month - contributing to a sense of belonging and celebrating the organisation as a place for all people.
