Stage 2
Stage 2 sits on 55 hectares of industrial land that is north of Airport Road, and features 22 lots.
Many of the remaining lots for sale are located adjacent to the Ballarat Airport. Businesses can capitalise on the proximity to the airport and also the upgraded runway.
McCallum Disability Services will be establishing a consolidated headquarters in Stage 2, with many more business to be announced soon.
Stage 2 is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
Expressions of Interest for lots in BWEZ Stage 2
Development Victoria has partnered with property specialists, Knight Frank, to present 11ha of land to market via the sale of four lots in Stage 2 of BWEZ.
The lots are fully serviced to meet development requirements and are subject to BWEZ urban design and landscape guidelines that create the vision for the site.
The individual lots are within Stage 2, which is adjacent to the Ballarat Airport and strategically located in the heart of BWEZ’s industry precinct.
To be eligible for this opportunity, a business must address a set of criteria to ensure it meets a certain standard of capability and capacity, provides policy outcomes and a suitable proposed use.
The closing date for Expressions of Interest has been extended to 3pm Wednesday 11 September.

Stage 2 works
Winslow Constructors has been engaged as the successful head contractor to complete the civil works for Stage 2.
The subdivision scope includes delivering 22 lots, serviced by two new roads, adjacent footpaths and essential services.
Works commenced on-site in August 2023, with practical completion due in early 2025.

Civil works continue to progress well, with internal roads and footpaths largely complete awaiting a final wearing layer and line marking which will be applied closer to Practical Completion.
Service trenching and install is largely complete, with electrical cable laid, NBN underway and light poles beginning to be installed.
Works to Airport Road continue on program, with expected traffic management controls anticipated to be in place for the remainder of July, with Airport Road to open to the public in August.
Over the next few months, Winslow will mobilise landscaping tasks, with new top soiling and planting to be installed.
Service authority approvals will begin to be obtained as the site moves towards completion, currently on track for Practical Completion in January 2025.
During the construction, there will be a Traffic Management Plan in place to allow all residents and workers to safely access their homes and workplaces.
