Overview

Development Victoria is unlocking more homes and jobs in East Werribee that will transform vacant land into a thriving new precinct.

This long-term urban renewal project is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to deliver a new centre for housing, jobs and community services in Melbourne’s western corridor.

The East Werribee Precinct will be delivered over a 30-year period and will include new housing, with at least 10% affordable and a focus on bringing new jobs and industries to the area.

Development Victoria will work closely with key stakeholders and the community to coordinate the planning and delivery of the precinct and will partner with the private sector to support the delivery of new housing and employment opportunities.

Next steps

Phase 1 of this long-term project will include planning and design, as well as remediation activities to unlock the land for future private sector investment and development.
