Overview

Upgrades to the Morwell Gun Club are now complete, delivering modern, safe and accessible facilities for the Gippsland community as part of the Victorian Government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.

Delivered by Development Victoria on behalf of Sport and Recreation Victoria, the project strengthens the club’s capacity to host local, regional and state-level events while supporting ongoing participation in shooting sports.

The upgrades include:

  • two Olympic trap shooting trenches and shooting stations
  • a new armoury
  • a maintenance shed
  • improved accessibility with DDA Car Parking
  • upgrades to Electricity Supply.

These improvements provide a high-quality and safe venue for both community and professional use, helping to attract events and training opportunities while supporting local jobs and businesses throughout delivery.

The project delivered 2 new Olympic trap shooting ranges, a new armoury and maintenance shed, improved accessibility including DDA-compliant car parking, and upgrades to electricity supply.

Construction commenced September 2025 and was completed in February 2026.
