Ramzi, a Project Manager within the Civic Infrastructure team, is celebrating five years as part of the Development Victoria team.

His journey with Development Victoria initially began in 2019 when he joined as part of the intern program. Ramzi was attracted by the diverse range of iconic and city-shaping projects in our portfolio.

Reflecting on his initial attraction to Development Victoria, Ramzi highlights the practical experience and skill development opportunities offered by the intern program. "The focus on providing practical experience and the chance to develop new skill sets across different divisions stood out to me," he shares.

During his internship, Ramzi seized the opportunity to forge meaningful relationships across the organisation, relationships that he still maintains today.

His days now look a little different now, with his current role seeing Ramzi's responsibilities encompass contracts, budget, and risk management, alongside overseeing the design process and ensuring adherence to cost and timeframe requirements.

His journey over the past five years has been marked by significant growth as he worked on a diverse range of projects. One standout project for Ramzi was his involvement in the delivery of the Melbourne Park Stage 3 Redevelopment.

I was fortunate enough to work on the delivery of the Melbourne Park Stage 3 Redevelopment, which included delivering Centrepiece - a multipurpose Function and Event Centre, and Kia Arena - an open-air 5,000 seat stadium.

Beyond the exciting projects, Ramzi underscores the importance of the inclusive office culture and the exceptional individuals he collaborates with across Development Victoria. These relationships and the sense of camaraderie have been pivotal in his decision to remain an integral part of the Development Victoria team for the past five years.

As Ramzi continues to thrive and contribute to the organisation's success, his story highlights the commitment we have at Development Victoria to not just create places for people, but also be an organisation where people can thrive in their careers.

There are many great ways we support our employees at all stages of their careers including study support, an internal mentoring program, access to industry memberships and networking events, alongside amazing opportunities to step into leadership roles within our team.
