Justin Walsh

Development Victoria congratulates Senior Project Manager Justin Walsh on being a finalist for a 2023 Property Council of Australia Innovation and Excellence Award.

Justin was one of 11 finalists nominated from Australia-wide for the Future Leader of the Year Award, which was won by Camille Jasson from The APP Group at a gala dinner held in Sydney on Thursday night.

These awards, who have been presented for more than four decades, promote excellence in design and innovation in the built environment.

Justin, who works in our Civic Infrastructure team, is an experienced and dedicated property professional seeking to create a lasting impact through his work.

He’s an integral member of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation project team having previously been involved bringing the State Library Vision 2020 redevelopment to fruition.

To be nominated and supported by Development Victoria for this award is a great example of the supportive environment that drew me here in the first place

“I’m humbled to be nominated and selected as a finalist for this award because I regularly draw inspiration from my many great colleagues.

“I think being selected as a finalist is a great reflection of the effort that our organisation puts in to developing and bringing out the best in its people – and I’m proud to be one of them," Justin said.

Development Victoria’s CEO Angela Skandarajah said Justin’s nomination in a national award was acknowledgement of his excellent work.

“It is an accolade that Justin should be proud of and I offer my congratulations to all the winners and nominees across all award categories.

“Development Victoria has been able to attract, retain and grow some extraordinary talent and support their career progression through a diverse range of projects that deliver outcomes that really matter to our communities,” Ms Skandarajah said.
