The new $140million Geelong Arts Centre Little Malop Street redevelopment is now open, marking a significant milestone after four years of visionary design, construction, and collaboration.

Geelong Arts Centre, is the country’s largest dedicated regional arts centre. New theatres include The Story House, a 550-seat multi format theatre converting to 800 in gig mode and The Open House, a 250 seat hybrid venue featuring a giant door connecting the space to Little Malop Street Plaza, as well as a dynamic and colourful foyer and bar facilities alongside a range of event spaces, including alfresco dining on Little Malop Street.

Dedicated to delivering on a bold future for a clever and creative Geelong, the remarkable design brings together elements drawn from the history of the Geelong, the traditions of circus and theatre, and the strong and continuing First Nations culture and connection to Country.

To celebrate the opening, Geelong Arts Centre is holding an exciting four-week festival of free and ticketed events for community members.
