Development Victoria is delivering on its promise to create more housing opportunities in Melbourne’s fast growing west with a new release of land for sale at Riverwalk in Werribee.

Riverwalk is a well-established community which is already home to over 2,500 residents.  The 197-hectare residential development is focused on delivering affordable and diverse housing opportunities for individuals, couples, and families, all within a 40-minute drive of Melbourne’s CBD.

Development Victoria has invested approximately $218 million to date in Riverwalk to provide much-needed new housing opportunities and community facilities in Melbourne’s west, with a further $130 million expected to be invested over the life of the project.

To date, Riverwalk includes 1,500 lots, a primary school, an early education centre and over 24 hectares of open space, which already includes several new wetlands and community parks.

When complete, Riverwalk will include around 2,600 homes and a future town centre that will feature commercial and retail services and further townhouses on the perimeter.

Riverwalk is being delivered through a partnership between Melbourne Water and Development Victoria to revitalise what was previously vacant land and provide much-needed quality housing opportunities in Melbourne’s fast growing west.

Development Victoria’s Group Head of Housing Penny Forrest said: “Riverwalk has become one of Werribee’s most vibrant and dynamic communities, offering a variety of lot sizes to suit a range of households and budgets, with beautiful open spaces, community facilities, and transport connections into the city.

The Government will continue to invest in Riverwalk to ensure that it delivers on its vision to be a well-connected, sustainable residential community where people from all backgrounds can enjoy the established urban and recreation amenity on offer.

The latest release of land within Riverwalk will be available to purchase from Saturday 28 October. For more information visit My Riverwalk.
