Siding Avenue extension open to the public

The final section of Siding Avenue in Officer now links the growing community to facilities and transport connections following its opening this month.

Funded by Development Victoria, the Siding Avenue extension provides an important link between the Princes Highway, Cardinia Shire Council’s offices, the Officer Secondary College and the Officer railway station.

The project also included the installation of traffic lights at the intersection of Bridge Road and Siding Avenue and a footpath along Siding Avenue, which has created better access for students between the secondary collage and the railway station.

Peter Southwell, General Manager Development and Construction, Development Victoria said the extension was an important milestone for the local area.

“Completion of the Siding Avenue extension means that commuters and the community will have easier and safer access to important local facilities and services.”

“This project highlights Development Victoria’s significant commitment to Officer Town Centre and the Aspect estate, which over 400 residents call home.”
