Established in 2005, Aurora is now home to more than 7,000 people and has grown into a thriving community.

We are continuing to support this growing community through the delivery of homes and infrastructure, and are excited to share our latest updates in our latest Community Update.

Highlights for this edition include:

New landscaping for Edgars Creek Park

In late 2021, we completed a further significant park within the Estate –Edgars Creek Park – which we’ve recently enhanced with further landscaping. Designed by MDG Landscape Architects and constructed by Peco Constructions, the $2 million-dollar park extends over approximately 1 hectare of land adjacent to Edgars Creek.

All systems go at Habitas!

Civil construction at Habitas Aurora is now complete! Civil works began in November 2022 with sewer and drainage works now complete. Internal roads and laneways have also been installed, as has the road kerb, paving the way for townhouse construction to start in early 2024.

Improving connectivity in the area

The final section of Edgars Road - between Rockfield Street and O’Herns Road – is now complete, providing an important north-south link to our community. We have been working with a range of experts to help manage the presence of kangaroos near the road, to keep motorists and kangaroos safe. This has included installing fencing and signage and developing a Kangaroo Management Plan.

Did You Know?

Inside the grounds of the St Mary of the Cross MacKillop Primary School stands a bluestone house that has historic links to when the Epping region was prime farming land. As part of our Aurora development, we invested in the building’s restoration to preserve it for future generations of students to enjoy.
