A new residential development in Melbourne’s south-east will deliver more housing opportunities for Victorians to live in one of the city’s fastest growing regions.

Sales for Development Victoria’s Coomoora project in Springvale South have commenced which will see 47 two-story townhouses – consisting of a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes – available for purchase. The project also contains 16 land-only lots which have already been sold.

Development Victoria, the Victorian Government’s property developer, is transforming the site into a welcoming residential community.

Coomoora has been designed with over 10 per cent of the site devoted to open space, to encourage community recreation and outdoor activities.

Development Victoria will work with the City of Greater Dandenong to deliver and maintain these spaces which will enhance the area for many generations to come.

A key feature of the release is Development Victoria’s Priority Access program, which gives eligible moderate-income earners an opportunity to buy quality homes before they’re made available on the open market.

The Priority Access program highlights the commitment of Development Victoria to provide more homes for purchase by moderate income earners at an affordable level

Development Victoria’s Group Head Property Development, Penny Forrest said the Priority Access program is helping to make home ownership a reality for more Victorians.

“The Priority Access program highlights the commitment of Development Victoria to provide more homes for purchase by moderate income earners at an affordable level,” Ms. Forrest said.

“This program creates a great opportunity to get into a new home.”

“Melbourne’s south-east corridor is one of the city’s fastest growing areas. Developments such as Coomoora will help to meet housing demands as this region’s population continues to grow and offer residents low maintenance townhouses with access to quality open space.”

Development Victoria is working with Creation Homes to deliver a range of sustainable and affordable townhouses at Coomoora.

Creation Homes Director and Chief Operating Officer, Tory Taouk said this is an exciting opportunity to partner with Development Victoria and deliver another prominent project in Victoria.

“We’re particularly proud to be a part of a project that provides quality housing options to the community.

“Through the support of Development Victoria's Priority Access program, it is great to see opportunities being created for Victorians to break into the housing market.

“Creation Homes is dedicated to delivering the Coomoora townhouses to the highest of standards, maintaining a priority for sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices,” Mr. Taouk said.
