pavilion being built with construction workers placing he roof.

We are very excited about the progress of the new soccer facilities on Templestowe Road, Bulleen.

The new pavilion is looking great with concrete walls, floors and terraced seating in place. Crews are finalising the insulation, solar panels and steel sheeting on the roof, with internal walls now going up and tiling soon to begin.

Once complete, the pavilion will accommodate for all ages and genders, with six change rooms to support the use of the facilities for local soccer competitions.

The new playing fields are also taking shape, with irrigation systems now in place on the two natural grass pitches and 14,000 square metres of natural turf from Boremann Turf in South Australia has already been rolled out.

The synthetic pitch now has several levels of foundations laid, with synthetic grass to arrive in the coming months.

In the new year, crews will be building a new intersection, pedestrian crossing, and footpath near the entrance at 27-59 Templestowe Road to make it safer to enter and exit the new soccer facilities.

The new intersection will have dedicated turning lanes and traffic islands to improve traffic flow. During the works, there will be reduced speeds on Templestowe Road and traffic controllers will guide drivers through the area.

These soccer facilities are being delivered by Development Victoria and North East Link Program, and will replace two soccer fields at Bulleen Park and the use of Bulleen Park Oval 1 for soccer.

The facilities will be ready for play in 2024 and will ensure local clubs continue to thrive while North East Link construction is underway at Bulleen Park.
